About Samantha
Samantha Trebilcock, BSN RN,'s journey to doula work was different than most. While she had always loved babies she was an only child and didn't have a ton of hands on experience. After becoming an unofficial postpartum doula for a close family friend in high school she fell in love with the work. After settling in Chicago for her undergrad Samantha quickly became involved in birth work throughout Chicagoland.
After graduation as an RN in 2011 Samantha tried to ease her self out of her doula role and into that as a pediatric nurse. After 18 months of doing both Samantha decided to follow her heart and dedicate all her time to working as a doula-over 450 babies later she couldn't be happier with her choice. Samantha lives in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago with her giant dog, sassy cat and very understanding roommates (living with a doula is NOT easy). Samantha loves to take full advantage of eastside living and spends many afternoons and weekends at the nearby beaches with her dog and friends. Samantha's other loves include finishing the rehab on her new house (love is a strong word), summer street festivals, college football (Go Buckeyes!!), the New England Patriots and draft lattes.
